Did you know that all preschool children are entitled to a 36 hours of care per fortnight, regardless of eligibility for the Childcare subsidy? Even if you haven’t met the activity test and don’t qualify for regular subsidised care this means your child is still eligible for preschool subsidies.

So, if you are entitled to less then 36 hours of subsidised care per fortnight (CCS due to your activity test results) and your child is going to school the following year contact Centrelink to lodge a claim for a preschool exemption. 36 hours per fortnight is the equivalent of four 9 hour sessions of subsidised care, that’s four days of attendance. For more information see this fact sheet or ask one of directors about how the session care works with the prescribed hours.
