Starting big school in 2015

In conjunction with South West Rocks Primary School we are starting our school transition program in June. We have identified children by age in the initial selection process, if you are undecided if your child is starting school in 2015 we would ask that you have the conversation with us as soon as you can.

The program runs through to Term 4 with a number of visits at the school and here at the centre. The key dates for your calendar for our preschoolers are:

Monday June 16 11:30AM – 12:30PM – Ohana travels to the school and visits with Miss McGrath & Miss Castle.

Tuesday 5 August 11:30AM – 12:30PM – Ohana travels to the school and visits Miss Tilbrook.

Tuesday 26 August – A selection of current Year 5 students will be attending our centre.

Wednesday 27 August 11:30AM – 12:30PM – Ohana travels to the school and visits the classrooms of Miss McGrath and Miss Castle.

Friday 31 October 11:30AM – 12:30PM – Ohana travels to the school and visits Miss Mcgrath and Miss Castle.

Thursday 13 November – A selection of current Year 5 students will be attending our centre.

Thursday 28 November – all preschoolers for 2015 will come together for a sports and games session  from 11.30AM. Meet the school transition co-ordinator Mrs Stacey Layton in the School Hall.

The school will also be hosting Open Transition Mornings from 9:00AM to 11:30AM on Friday 28 November and Friday 5 December.

Where your child is not attending the centre on any of these days we would encourage you to attend these sessions with us as a group to support the children through this process. If you are not available on these days and cannot make alternative arrangements please talk to Stuart as soon as you know. At all visits our educators will be attending with the children to support them when they return for any questions or concerns.
