Infant Care

6 Weeks -2 years

Caring for infants 6 weeks up to the age of 2 years was a decision we made when first setting up our childcare centres. Our intention was to make Ohana feel like a second family for everyone involved. With this in mind, we have specially configured baby rooms allowing for regular sleep times and we also provide fresh nappies, chef-prepared baby food (pureed to chunky style), bottle feeding and full support for nursing mothers.

Given that a lot of childcare centres tend to shy away from offering care to such a young age group because the level of care required is very hands-on and specialised, Ohana is proud of the infant care we provide across all our centres. Call us to find out more.

Early Years Child Care

2-3 years

Caring for all ages is what Ohana is all about. We look after our early years toddlers in the 1 to 3 year range by providing separate indoor educational areas where the attention on their learning-based activities can be maximised. Our centres also incorporate landscape-designed outdoor play areas with the provision of sunscreen and sun-smart hats. These natural habitats with grass and shade are where our toddlers can mix and play with the older children, and foster positive interactions.

Managing the transition of our early years toddlers into the older preschool group is dependent upon their overall levels of social and emotional engagement, their toilet training capabilities and their family’s wishes. Please contact us to find out further details.

3-6 years

Your child from the ages of 3 to 6 can look forward to some expert care from our specialised educators at one of Ohana Early Learning Centres. The focus here is on offering a flexible curriculum based upon the Government’s Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), specific to different age and ability groups, and in readiness for their transition to big school.

We provide smart boards and iPads in a simulated classroom setting to help compliment educational development and further enhance your child’s communication skills. Our curriculum for preschoolers also includes the ELLA Program; digital play-based learning designed to inspire a genuine interest in a new language and culture.
